Project "Safe Rails"

Safety

LTG Infra aims to ensure safe connections for a better future and to avoid fatalities.

The Public Railway Infrastructure manager can achieve all this by taking preventive measures in the areas of traffic, occupational health and safety, civil protection, fire safety and the environment.

Traffic safety

Railway safety is the set of technical and organizational measures designed to ensure that passengers, other railway users and other persons, as well as railway infrastructure, rolling stock and freight and luggage carried, are protected against railway calamities, accidents, incidents and their consequences. AB LTG Infra, as the manager of the railway infrastructure, wishes to warn everyone that the railway is a dangerous object and that in the event of an accident, there would be serious consequences for the safety of people, train traffic and the natural environment.

Public danger indicator:
weighted number of deaths and serious injuries/million trains. km

Occupational safety and health

All preventive measures to preserve the working capacity, health and life at work of employees are used or planned in all phases of the activities of AB LTG Infra in order to protect employees from occupational hazards or to reduce them as much as possible.

Every worker who goes to work in the morning needs to come home healthy, which is why ensuring health and safety at work is now an important issue for the well-being of both workers and employers. The loss of life is immeasurable and intolerable. Such losses or injuries can cause significant losses to families and businesses.  As a responsible employer, AB LTG Infra takes preventive measures for the safety of its employees, and the safety and health status of its employees is assessed according to the LTFIR:

LTFIR (the rate of time lost due to injuries)

Civil protection

Civil protection is the activity of state and municipal authorities and bodies, other institutions, economic entities and the public in preparing for emergencies, taking action in the event of their occurrence or imminent occurrence, and in the event of emergency situations, and in dealing with their consequences. The main areas of activity are prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. They shall be based on risk and vulnerability assessment data.
