The reconstruction of station yard tracks at the Radviliškis railway station has been completed
We have carried out and completed the reconstruction of station yard III tracks of Radviliškis railway station. These tracks fall within the railway line of the trans-European transport corridor IX B, and the total value of the implemented project amounts to EUR 4.2 million.
Station yard III tracks of the Radviliškis railway station are used for reception and departure of cargo and passenger trains. To ensure the appropriate capacities needed to serve the cargo flows, we identified the need to reorganize the railway tracks of the station by extending them, and by adapting the main tracks for use by passenger trains at higher speeds,” says Vytautas Tilinskas, Head of Road Projects at LTG Infra.
According to him, by organizing the cargo traffic on station yard III tracks of the Radviliškis railway station with extended tracks and accepting long trains, it is possible to save transportation costs for carriers, to use the railway capacities more efficiently and to ensure better living conditions for residents neighbouring the railway.

During the implementation of the project, the main railway lines I and II of the IX B transport corridor were reconstructed, the 194+757 km crossing was reconstructed, the crossing surface was changed from reinforced concrete to a rubber composite surface, the tracks No. 303, 304 and 305 were extended, the engineering networks were reorganized, the lighting of the turnstiles of the station yard III tracks of the Radviliškis railway station was installed.
After determining the noise impact on the residential areas located between Durpių Street, Priemiesčio Street and Geležinkelio Street, noise-reducing walls of 578 m total length were installed.
All reconstructed or newly built infrastructure has been adapted to the electrified railway line.
The contractor Top Rails prepared the technical detailed design and performed the contract work, and the technical supervision of the contract work was carried out by Statybų techninė priežiūra, UAB.
