LTG Infra introduces new transport cost calculator for clients
LTG Group company LTG Infra has introduced a new transport cost calculator to help railway infrastructure users quickly and easily estimate the cost of a planned shipment. The aim is to increase service transparency further and ensure a smoother customer experience.
One of the most common questions when planning any transport operation is, 'How much will it cost?'
Until now, clients had to contact LTG Infra managers, provide the necessary data, and then wait for a personalised quote. From now on, however, the process is much simpler: clients can enter the parameters of their planned transport into the calculator themselves and immediately see the preliminary price for access to the railway infrastructure. The tool is intended for both railway undertakings and companies planning to hire carriers for specific shipments.
“Digital solutions are becoming an integral part of modern infrastructure. The transport cost calculator is another step towards making access to railway infrastructure transparent and convenient,” says Vytis Žalimas, CEO of LTG Infra.
The calculator provides two key benefits.
First, it saves clients time by enabling them to quickly and easily calculate a preliminary price, allowing them to contact LTG Infra with a clear reference point and move straight on to discussing the remaining details.
Second, it increases market transparency. It allows any market participant to see the price applied to a specific transport operation, which is important for ensuring equal access conditions for all carriers, as required by EU regulations.
The calculator is available on the LTG Infra website via this link: https://ltginfra.lt/en/railway-infrastructure/map/. It is easy to use, making it suitable for experienced market participants, new clients and those who are just beginning to plan transport operations by rail.
The LTG Group, of which LTG Infra is a part, is the largest railway group in the Baltic States. The group operates in three main areas: freight and passenger rail transport, as well as the management, maintenance, and development of public railway infrastructure.
